Program:
8.30 a.m. – Meeting point in front of the Thermal Facilities Park in Castrocaro Terme. The guide will explain you how to use the E-BIKE and will briefly show the itinerary
9.00 a.m. – Departure
About 3.00 p.m. – End of the tour

Itinerary:
We will firstly go uphill to Bagnolo and reach the side of the Sorgara park. We eventually will come back to Castrocaro and will stop at the medieval fortress. We will visit the old buildings and the museum and will get a short tasting of local wines and Piadina (flat breads) in the wine cellar. The guide will tell you about Caterina Sforza’s life episodes that are connected to the fortress and will show you a small exhibition dedicated to her. Then we will ride along the river park cycle lane to Terra del Sole, will go across the Via Marconi road passing in front of the remarkable Church of Santa Reparata. We will later on reach Mount Poggiolo by riding across the ridge of Converselle. The top hill features very old castle ruins that once belonged to Caterina while the whole area of Ca’ Belvedere farm is known to be an important archeological site thus the guide will explain you the peculiar morphological origins of these lands. We will go downhill and reach Terra del Sole to visit the Palazzo Pretorio. We will then reach the near holiday farm Tenuta Pennita for a short lunch with their produce of wines and the valuable olive oil.
We will return to Castrocaro at about 3.00 p.m.

Information and advice:
You will be provided with a rent E-BIKE as well as a helmet. Always wear the helmet. We recommend you to wear comfortable shoes or trainers and sunglasses. We also recommend to wear padded shorts and bicycle gloves as well as to bring a windcheater/rainjacket and a water bottle. The available RENT E-Bikes are 15 so the participants will be admitted accordingly.
Cyclers with their own MTB or E-Bike will be admitted only if they are self-sufficient in case of mechanical problems and punctures.
AT THE END OF THE TOUR ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE GIVEN A FREE SMALL SOUVENIR OF CATERINA SFORZA.
